Describe a time when you spent the night without electricity.
Introduction.
Today electricity is something that no one can live without and the world stands still without electricity. Some people fear darkness and all horrible dreams come true when there is no electricity. In this world of technology everything becomes useless when there is no electricity. This situations occur when there is extreme weather conditions especially in the rainy season and summer days.

Here I am going to talk about a night I spent without electricity.
When was it? Where were you?
Recently in this monsoon season there has been so much rain and thunderstorms. It was raining like cats and dogs. The whole day I spent indoors without doing anything important. I was just watching news about the pouring. Everywhere in my city there were traffic jams and extremely stressed roads with accidents and vehicles breaking down.
What exactly happened?Why did the power went off?
As per the weather forecast the rain was not taking a break and near my home we all heard a blast. And my neighbour told me that the transformer in our area is down and there is an extreme situation just because of water everywhere. We called and informed the electricity department and they registered our complaint and informed us to stay indoors till they fix the situation and replace a new transformer to continue the electricity supply. It took a long time almost the whole night for the maintenance department. They all worked very hard to get the power supply working again.
What did you do afterwards?
We all were indoors so there was nothing to worry but as the time passed it was difficult for us. I had candles so I lit them all to avoid darkness. The kids in our home were so afraid of thunderstorms and they were complaining all the time. Then I sensed the situation and started playing games with them. My mother cooked food with the help of candle light and we all get together on the balcony to get fresh air. The children slept. I was making them comfortable with diverting their attention by telling them stories about how people lived in the past without electricity. The kids were asking too many questions about life without electricity and I was giving them fictional Answers till they slept. I was awake the whole night with my siblings. We chatted about our child-hood days and how we were in this kind of situation.
Overall, it was a difficult day and a horrific night but together we all made it. Early in the morning they fixed the electricity supply and things become normal again.
