Here are some introduction questions that you can speak in your speaking session in IELTS part 1 of the interview.

NAMES

1. Is it easy for you to remember people’s names?

Absolutely yes I have a very good memory and I can remember names very well. Once they are easy to pronounce I can remember them.

2. How do you remember people’s names?

I remember people's names by their characteristics and by their personal features. If their names are unique it is easy for me to remember them especially if they are short.

3. How do you feel when people can’t remember your name?

It is possible sometimes people cannot remember names when the names are very awkward and difficult and very long names so people face difficulties in remembering such kind of names so do I

4. Do you often forget people’s names?

Yes sometimes I forget the names of people when I meet them after a very long time and they are not in touch with me so I forget their names.

Stages of life

1. Do you enjoy your current stage of life?

Absolutely yes I am enjoying the current stage of my life where I am studying and doing very well in my academics and now I am planning to go abroad for my further education so it is a very interesting face of my life where I am exploring my career my interest and many other extra curricular activities so yeah this is the most beautiful stage of my life.

2. In what stage of your life were you the happiest?

The most happiest stage of my life is the current stage of my life but if I have to talk about my past then I remember that my childhood was really very memorable and wonderful where I did not have too much to learn and I used to play a lot of outdoor games and just do mysterious things in my home so I remember my childhood days and I miss them to.

3. Which stage of your life do you think is the most important?

I think the most important stage of my life is my college days where I have to be serious and I have to pay attention in my academics because this stage will decide the path of my life and the direction of my life so I think it is very important to me.

4. What’s your plan for your next stage of life?

My plan for the next stage of my life is to really complete my academics with colourful scores and do good internship in a multinational companies so I can get a very good job offer and do a job for sometime in the future I am planning to open a business so I am being ready for it so it is the next stage of my life I am preparing by doing wonderful in my academics.

Home country

1. Which part of your country do you like to live in?

Is a diverse country and it is a beautiful country. In fact , I love to live in the western part of my country where my hometown is located. I am very familiar with the geography and the demographics of the area so I am enjoying living in my hometown.

2. What makes you feel proud of your country?

My country is a very beautiful country and it is a diverse country where people from different religion different colour stay together and live they celebrate their festivals and their really bond with each other very much so I think this is the best part of my country there are so many festivals celebrated in my country so it is always joyful in the festival season apart from this my country has so many beautiful places to visit and many foreign tourist also come to my country to explore this makes me proud of my country diversity of the country really is very important to me.

3. Do you know the history of your country well?

Absolutely yes I know the history of my country very well my country has gone through so many things from the pre independence era and the independence era there were lots of struggles where the freedom fighters of my countries sacrifice their life and give us freedom today this is the age of technology and we remember them by reading about them and watching movies about them history of my country has been so much interesting from ages as it was a very important part of the world.

4. Will you stay in India in the future?

Definitely I will stay in India in my future also because I feel so much comfortable year I have my roots here I would definitely make my future in my own country.

New Activities

1.Do you like to try new activities? Why?

I like to try new activities because I am an adventurous person and by doing such adventurous activities I explore my physical and mental strength and I try my hands on different things. This really makes me good at everything so I like to try new activities.

2. What activities would you like to try?

I am interested in so many activities related to art and adventure especially I like singing, dancing and writing so whenever I get an opportunity I take part in these activities in my free time and holidays I like to go on adventures like mountain hiking and sometimes I also do river rafting. These are my favourite outdoor activities.

3. What activities did you do when you were a child?

Aisa child I did not do so much very important activities but I was always interested in drawing and crafts so I did a lot of drawing and made pictures of nature and portraits of very famous people apart from this I also did some craft work using different colour paper and gum.

4. Do you like to try new activities alone or with friends?

I like to try new activities alone as well as with my friends suppose if I am doing activities on my phone or it is an indoor than definitely I like it alone for example reading but when it is a team activity I would like to be with my friends because it is fun to do activities together and when we have friends all around things become more interesting.

Clothes and Fashion

1. Are you very interested in fashion and clothes?

Yes I am very much interested in fashion and clothes. I like to buy new clothes on every different occasion and I pay a lot of attention to fashion because I like to be trendy and I follow all the trends and I wear comfortable clothes.

2. Do you have a lot of nice clothes?

Absolutely yes I have a lot of nice clothes. My wardrobe is full of different clothes. I have a huge range of formal clothes, casual clothes and traditional clothes. I wear them on different occasions according to my choice.

3. What kind(s) of clothes do you usually wear?

Normally I Wear formal clothes and comfortable clothes because these kinds of clothes make me more comfortable and I can do various activities. I don't wear too many shiny and bright-colored clothes on normal days but when it comes to a party I always wear colourful clothes.

4. Would you say clothes are expensive in your country?

In my country clothes are available in all the ranges people can buy really cheap clothes in the street markets and there are branded and designer clothes in boutique and malls in my country there is a huge range of markets as well as online so people can buy clothes according to their choice.

5. Do you like to wear fashionable clothes?

Yes definitely I like to look fancy and I am a fashionable person so I wear fashionable clothes on special occasions to look different from the crowd and look attractive. I wear festival clothes.

6. Is there anything that you used to wear

There are so many things that I used to wear in my past life and my childhood especially they were all casual clothes and sometimes I used to wear traditional clothes on festivals.

7. How often do you go shopping for clothes?

There are so many times when I go shopping , especially when it comes close to when there is a big festival coming near or occasion in my house. I will definitely go to buy new clothes.

9. How often do you buy clothes online?

I buy clothes online when there is a sale or a big discount going on, otherwise when I don't have time to go to the shopping mall or the market I prefer to buy clothes online.

10. Do you plan to buy any designer (or, name brand) clothes?

No I do not prefer to buy designer or branded clothes too much because they are so much expensive I buy only them if there is a big occasion in my life otherwise I stay away from designer clothes I prefer normal clothes from the market which are easy to buy and I can wear them everyday.

Sports

1. Are you interested in sports?

Yes I am a very outdoor person. I like sports, especially outdoor games and I also like to watch sports on television.

2. Do you like sports?

Yes, I like sports. In my school days I took part in sports day very much and I played cricket and football in my school team. I am a very good football player.

3. What sports do you like? (Why?)

I am very much interested in cricket and football especially my favourite game is football because it has so much to do in it requires a good team to play good collaboration cooperation and physical strength to play so football is my favourite game.

4. Do most people in your country like sports?

In my country people love sports. In fact cricket is like religion. In my country everybody loves to watch World Cup T20 and ODI matches because these are so much interesting when India is playing and the whole country is watching so I think in my country sports are so popular people play and watch too.

5. What sports do people in your country like to play?

People in my country like to play cricket Kabaddi kho kho and football handball and many other sports especially cricket is the most favourite game apart from cricket people also play a lot of Kabaddi and kho kho in the interiors of my country and in school colleges people like to play football.

6. What benefits do you think sport can bring us?

Sports can really bring a lot of benefits to an individual especially playing sports can make you physically strong and mentally stable by playing sports and individuals can develop leadership skills, cooperation skills, coordination skills and communication skills so I think sports is the best thing one can do to improve his or her overall personality.

Picnic

1. Did you go on a picnic when you were a child?

As a child I always loved to go on picnics so whenever there was a holiday or a festival we went on a family trip to nearby places like a park or a hill station. It was the most wonderful moment for me when I was on a wonderful tour with my friends and my family.

2. How often do you go on a picnic now?

Today also I always like to go on a picnic so whenever we have a long weekend or we have a holiday we definitely like to go on a picnic and we relax ourselves when we are on holiday with our friends and family.

3. Where do you go on a picnic?

In my hometown there are many tourist traps where I like to go on a picnic. We have a hill station nearby. We go there on long weekends and we have huge parks near my hometown which are my favourite picnic spots so whenever I get a chance to be with my family I go there on a picnic.

4. What is the difference between a picnic and cooking at home?

There is a huge difference between a picnic and cooking at home. When we are on a picnic we eat outside wherever we are touring and cooking at home is a totally different experience. Well, we get together to cook food and have fun and have fun together.

Meeting New People

1.Do you like meeting new people?

Absolutely yes I like meeting new people whenever I am travelling or I am on a business tour. I meet different people and I like to discuss my ideas and opinions with them. Meeting different people gives us experience of different fields and we get an opportunity to interact with eminent personalities.

1. How do you feel when people welcome you?

I feel very good when I am welcomed by other people in my country. Actually it is a tradition to give respect to the guest so whenever I get an opportunity to welcome my friend to my home I do my best and show my hospitality and when I am welcomed by others the same thing happens to me.

2. Do you often meet new people?

I need people on different occasions when I am travelling on business occasions. I meet different people sometimes at festivals and celebrations. Also I get an opportunity to meet new people.

3. Can you tell if you like someone when

you meet them for the first time? Why?

It is very difficult to judge a person in the first meeting but I definitely get the feeling that a person is nice or not but I definitely don't tell them because it is too early to make a judgement in the first meeting.

Mirrors

1. How often do you look at yourself in the mirror everyday?

I regularly look in the mirror especially in the morning when I wake up when I brush my teeth and whenever I am getting ready to go outside I see myself in the mirror so I can say I see multiple times in the mirror in a day.

2. Have you ever bought mirrors?

No I have never bought mirrors but I have something like myself and other things which includes a mirror so specifically I have never bought a mirror.

3. Would you use Mirrors to decorate rooms?

Definitely yes mirrors are very beautiful elements to decorate the room but too many mirrors can really make a room shiny so using mirrors in a limited form and proper places would make the room look very beautiful.

4. Do you check yourself when you decide to buy a mirror?

Definitely I check myself whenever I am buying a mirror because it shows what the quality of a mirror is so definitely I would take a self check before buying a mirror.

Books

1. Do you often read books? When?

Yes, I like reading books. I especially like to read biographies and autobiographies. Sometimes I read fiction books. Also, I read them in my free days on holidays and weekends.

2. Are your reading habits different than in the past?

No, my reading habits are not different from the past. In the past I had hard books to read but today I have soft copies and electronic copies of the books but I read in the same way I used to read in my past.

3. Have you ever read a book that has been adapted into film?

Yes I have read a book which has been adapted into a film. The name of that book is 2 States and it was a very interesting book by Chetan Bhagat, an Indian writer. This book was really very interesting to read. The movie was good but the book was the best.

4. What do you prefer reading books and watching movies?

If I get an opportunity I would definitely prefer to read the book book requires a lot of time to read and read and concentration also but the joy of reading is always more than watching movies in less time I would watch a movie but if I get time and if I am free then definitely I would like to read a book.

Sitting Down

1 Where is your favorite place to sit?

My favourite place to sit in my home is the balcony because there I can do my meditation and I can just relax myself so it is my favourite place to sit.

2 Do you always sit down for a long time?

Yes I am a working person so I have to sit down for a very long time. It sometimes hurts my back but because of my official duties I have to sit down but at short periods I take a small walk and relax.

3 Do you feel sleepy when you are sitting down?

Sometimes when I am sitting and I have very little or a boring work to do at that time I feel sleepy otherwise I don't have such habits to sit down and sleep. I consider it a bad habit. If I want to sleep I would definitely lay down.

4 When you were a kid, did you usually sit on the floor?

Yes definitely as a kid I used to sit a lot on the floor and I used to play, eat my food and sleep. At that time I was not good with balance. I did not prefer to sit on a chair but I always lay down on the floor and sit on the floor.

Meeting places

1 Where is your favorite place to meet with your friends?

My favourite place to meet with my friend is a coffee bar which is located near my house it is a nice get together place where we friends meet talk and sometimes have a sip of coffee and do a intense discussion

2 Do you think there are some places more suitable for meeting with others?

Definitely yes there are so many suitable places for meeting with other people especially parks, community halls and cafes are good places to meet people because these places we can sit, relax and have an intense conversation in a very easy way. Cafes are a very good place to have a discussion and we can sip a coffee and do discussion.

3 Are there any differences between your favorite meeting places in the present and in your child-hood?

In my childhood my favourite meeting place with my friend was the playground and the community hall in our society but today we don't have that much time to play outdoor games so my favourite meeting place is a mall or a cafe where we can sit and hangout and we can have a good time together.

4 Why are some meeting places better than others?

Some meeting places are better because they offer a quality of silence and peace and they also have music and Wi-Fi kind of facilities so people can sit there, meet and do their work. They also offer food and beverages which can add a fun element to the meeting.
