My country is an agricultural country and produces a variety of crops. Some of them are sessional crops while others are all season crops. Large number of farmers depend on agriculture as it is their bread and butter. Today farmers are using modern technology in agriculture to produce good quality and do mass production of grains.

Here I am going to talk about rice, a very popular crop in my country.
What crop is it?
Rice is the principal food in India and a large number of people eat rice as their everyday meal. It is cooked with vegetables and other ingredients. In terms of products India holds the second position in the world. And rice is almost half of the overall food crop production in the country.
When and where it is grown? This crop is grown in eastern and western shoreline of my country, Punjab, West Bengal,and Uttar Pradesh are the top states in rice production. As it is a
Kharif or winter is the main rice growing season in the country. It is known as Winter Rice or Kharif Rice as per the harvesting time. The sowing time of winter (kharif) rice is June-July and it is harvested in November-December.
What do you think about it?Rice is the basic food crop and being a tropical plant, it flourishes comfortably in a hot and humid climate. So the whole country does mass production of rice.Among the many benefits of rice fields one of them is to grow the nature of mutual cooperation between the community, especially farmers.
