Tall buildings are an important part of modern infrastructure. Today due to lack of urban living space vertical buildings are surging. People want all modern facilities and amenities in one place and tall buildings provide everything at premium quality living. Staying in a tall building really gives us peace of mind and keeps us at bay from pollution.
Main Answer.
Here I am going to talk about a commercial tall building Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in my city.
- Where it is.
This building is called GIFT 1 AND 2 it's located between Ahmedabad and the capital city gandhinagar it's the tallest building ever built in Gujarat. This building is 122 400.ft meters tall and has 28 floors.
- What it is used for.
Gift is built for commercial purposes like Stocks Market, Insurance industry, National and international banks, IT offices, corporate offices of leading construction companies. it's a hub of the IT industry in my hometown. All popular brands have their corporate office located. Many international companies also operate their important operations from here. As this building offers excellent infrastructure more and more business houses want to invest here.
- What it looks like.
It looks like a giant skyscraper shining with a glass exterior. It's made keeping environmental issues in mind so it uses maximum sunlight. The exterior is designed by a popular architecture firm keeping international standards in mind. It has a futuristic design.
- And explain why you like or dislike it.
I like it just because of its exterior and interior. The architecture of this building is just fantastic and it makes one feel like they are standing in some developed country. It makes us proud as it is located near our home town. And it gives us all civic pride.

The tall buildings are easy to accommodate many departments and sections in one building and all modern facilities can be made available at one place. While on the darker side there is fear of earthquakes and an accident can happen.
2. Do you think there will be more tall buildings in the future?.
Absolutely yes, as the price of land is increasing and availability of urban space is limited there is only one option to build vertical buildings. To overcome space issues.
3. Why aren’t there many tall buildings in the countryside?
The countryside has abundant land and more people are moving to urban areas so the countryside remains quite a silent area. Modern building is the requirement of the city , not the rural area.
4. Why do some people like to live in tall buildings nowadays?
To separate themselves from the noise of vehicles and for personal space. Buying a bungalow in an urban area is costly and a luxury apartment on the top floor with all facilities and amenities is a viable idea today.
