Introduction

Goal setting is very important in order to achieve something important and meaningful. We have to dedicate time and energy towards our goal. We set career goals,health goals and many other goals gives a sense of satisfaction to anybody who achieves it.

Main Answer.

Here I am going to talk about an academic goal I set a year ago and successfully completed.

I always wanted to become a professor in University so after completing my masters I wanted to appear in the National Eligibility test. It's a competitive  exam conducted every year which opens doors to doctorate in subject as well as chances to work as an assistant professor in University.

 

Last year on vacation I decided to appear in this exam and gathered all the information regarding this exam.

While searching on the internet I learned that it's not a piece of cake to clear this exam so I took this exam very seriously.

So, I synthesized all sources from the library, pedagogical experts and many reference materials regarding my subject and did an elaborate study on various aspects. After I found some unuseful material so I did discrimination between sources and sift some facts which were not useful remaining was marshal facts.

I set a timetable for various topics and alloted time to complete each one on a given time; this helped me to cover the entire syllabus.

This practice influenced my life in a meaningful way. I became devoted to my goal and my way became easier and organised. I completed all my revision before my exam.

Finally, I appeared and cleared. I was over the moon. my dream was completed. I achieved what I always wanted. I thanked all my pedagogs , my parents and friends.

Completing a goal gives a sense of satisfaction.
